Rain, rain, go away!!!!

Since Kolby's dad was coming into town, Kolby really wanted to take him to a Ranger's game, since we've been having so much fun going to them lately. We also thought it would be fun if we invited Rodney's sister, Aunt Patti, who lives in Irving. Again, I found us some great tickets at about half price through Craigslist. (We are always going to look for tickets on Craigslist before we buy them from the box office from now on! I've gotten some great deals!) the game started at 7pm on Friday, Texas Rangers VS, Seattle Mariners.

Enjoying hot dogs and cold beer!

Can you believe it?! Ken Griffey Jr. is still playing, and we got to see him!

Here comes the storm, blowing in!!! Now the fun begins...

Aunt Patti and Me

We sat out in the rain until the 7th inning they paused the game and made us take cover due to the lightning in the area. Here they are covering the infield with the massive tarp.

It rained what seemed like forever! There was a 2 hour and 18 min. game delay due to the weather. At least we got a little entertainment during the delay, two fans busted out onto the field and got chased around by the security guards. Needless to say they got caught, but hey, they provided us with entertainment! They came over the loud speaker to announce that "if anyone tried to get on the field they would be legal prosecution by the Arlington Police Department"!

So we waited.....and waited....and waited...(hence our fun pictures...boredom)

Sitting out in the rain with our cool rain gear!

They decided that since they didn't know how long the rain delay would last, that they would go ahead with the fireworks show that was supposed to happen after the game. So, they let everyone back out onto the lower sections to watch the show. By that time, the majority of the people had gone on home, so we got even better seats than we originally had. We were about the 4 row right down by home plate. I was so cold since I was wet and the wind had been blowing like a tornado when the storm came through...

At 11:15pm they finally recommenced with the game. It was still raining a little bit, but the storm had moved through and the lightning had passed.

Josh Hamilton

Look, it's the "Olshan Man", Kolby said seeing him made him want to eat at Dairy Queen! Haha, but really we were about two rows away from Nolan Ryan!!!! It was quite exciting! This was the best picture I could get of him, my little camera wasn't zooming good, plus, some lady kept putting her head in the way!

Once the game was over, we were soaked and tired, but so glad that we stuck it out! It was by far the funnest time we've had at a Ranger's game to date! The Ranger's won 5-4. I think we finally made it home at about 1 am. Needless to say we were wiped out and barely even crawled into bed!
