Can you say snow day?

Oh my gosh!!! We've had so much snow in yesterday!!!! It was absolutely insane!!!! Our neighbors work for the National Weather Service, and they had said that they predicted like 1-5 inches...well, we ended up with about 14-15 inches in the deep spots, but on average about 12 inches of snow on the ground! Absolutely amazing!!! That's the most snow I've ever seen falling ever!!! It hasn't snowed anymore today, but all the rest of the snow is starting to melt and it is getting so messy around here now!!!

This is what I woke up to Thrusday morning, about 7 am we had a couple of inches on the ground already! In these photos, look at the fire pit and the bench for comparisons.
This is about 4 pm when I got home from work, lots more snow! This is bright and early on Friday morning!
This is Thursday morning.
And, this is Friday morning, quite a difference, huh?!?!
IDK loved the snow, she would try to eat it and then she would try to get me!!!
Moe just wanted to eat the snow!!!
And so did I!!!
These next two photos show the difference between our two girlies! I was able to get IDK to sit down and pose for a photo out in the snow, I turned around to try to get a good picture of Moe in the snow to find....
She had had enough already, and she had gone inside already!
"My feet are frozen!"
This is the little snowman that I helped our neighbors and their kids build! Isn't he cute?! Thier dog Sam thought he needed to be in the picture too!
Here are a few photos of what my drive to work looked like this morning!
This is our street.
I LOVE this photo! I love how the trees cover the road in a canopy, they are equally as beautiful in the summer when they are covered with leaves!
I liked the red barn out in the snow! I thought it was quite picturesque!!!
Here is a little video that I took of the girls and me playing in our backyard.***I am giving you full warning to turn the volume down when you watch it, or just mute it all together. I didn't realize that my voice was being picked up that much by my phone while I was taping, so needless to say, I'm super loud! And I'm talking to the dogs, so I'm pretty annoying sounding!!! Seriously, it's bad!!! Don't say I didn't warn you***

Cha Ching!! But not in the good way!!!

Dollar Signs Pictures, Images and Photos

So I have been needing to take Moe and IDK to the vet for a while now, but we always have somehting going on Saturdays when the vet is only open half a day, or I haven't been able to take off of work to take them. So finally I just gave in and called work and told them I would be coming in late because I needed to take my dog to the vet.
Now I can't handle them both by myself, so I decided to take IDK first. Well of course when I woke up that morning, it was pouring down rain outside...figures! So I get ready and I finally get just IDK out the door, because of course Moe wants to go (wherever we are going, she doesn't care) too! Thankfully the vets office is just at the front of our subdivision, because as I pull into the parking lot, I see that I have forgotten my purse. Figures! I go back to the house grab my purse, go back to the vet office and run with IDK through the rain into the office. Oh yeah, and when I get there and go to put IDK on the leash, I see that she doesn't have her collar on...great! So I make a loop with the leash and use it as a makeshift collar.
She was due for her annual checkup and shots, and all of that went fine. But oh my gosh, when I paid out, it totalled up the $200!!!! I couldn't believe it!! The annual exam was $77, and then they still charged me an office visit of $50 on top of that. If I had known that, I think I would have elected to do the annual exam outside in the rain so that I didn't have to pay the office visit charge.
Needless to say, that was way higher than I had anticipated it being! Thank God we love her as much as we do!!! haha But if I have to make a positive from it, IDK did a great job with everything that they did to her...poor baby! They said she was the cutest, sweetest little girl (which we already knew, of course)! I still owe Moe a visit to the vet, but I guess we'll have to save up a little before that one will be happening!!

SuperBowl Sunday!!! GO SAINTS!!!

We went to our neighbors Jason and Jennifer's house to watch the SuperBowl with them. Jason was born and raised in New Orleans, so he had been waiting for this day for a long, long time! He was so pumped about the game, he was decked out in his Saints gear!!! He was totally cracking us up with the dreads!!!

The guys taking their celebratory shot! I missed the actual toast because my camera wouldn't turn on and boot up fast enough!GO SAINTS!!!! WHO DAT?!?!

(I didn't know they had that little phrase, but Jason straightened me out on that one real quick, haha)

Time for an Update...

Well, well, well, let's see...Life is still going for us over here! We do have a few things to announce, though! First off, Kolby got a new job!!! He's back working in the oil field, on the drilling side now working for Sun Drilling Products. No more LaQuinta for him! He's been there about a week and a half, and so far he says he likes it, which is good! With this news, our plans drastically changed...

We were originally planning to move when our lease was up, further South where we could be closer to our families. However, God had different plans for us, so for the time being as long as Kolby has this job, we will be staying put! I'm excited about the new opportunity, and that we don't have to pack up and move, but I have to admit I'm a little bummed that we aren't going to be closer to everyone! Other than the distance from our families, we really do love where we are living. Plus, we both have good jobs, which we are so thankful for! We really don't have anything to complain about in life right now (for once, haha)! We have also been blessed with great neighbors/friends, if it weren't for our neighbors, we wouldn't know anyone, because neither Kolby or my coworkers do anything outside of work...so thank God for our fun neighbors!!!

I'm still putting along at my job, doing the same thing I always do! I'm playing on our neighbors work volleyball team in a rec league once a week, so that helps me occupy some of my free time, and I'm really having fun playing!!! I didn't realize how much I missed playing volleyball, I'm not great at it, but I just love to play! And with Kolby's new work schedule, I'm looking for ways to fill my free time!! I've been doing alot of scrapbooking, I've almost got IDK's book finished, and it looks so good, I'm so proud of myself. Yay!! Once hers is done, I've got our cruise and NYC trip to start working on! If yall have any ideas for activities, I'm open to suggestions!!!

Kolby is working non-stop! While it's long hours, he says it's pretty easy work, so that is good!! We are all trying to adjust to the new work schedule, especially the puppies!! They were spoiled while Kolby and I had opposite schedules when he worked at LaQuinta because they never stayed home alone. Well, that's not the case anymore, they have to stay home alone for about 6 hours a day now, and they think that they are just so mistreated!!! Poor babies!! But they get plenty of loving when we are home, and we catch them up on their spoiling then!!

Let me see, what else can I torture yall with...

Oh yeah, so about a month ago, we noticed that Moe Moe had developed a small round lump under the skin on her right front leg. It is about the size of a dime, but it has not continued to grow. I've been trying not to freak out about it, but I can't just ignore it. So I went into research mode and my non-veterinarian training believes that she has a lipoma. They are very common in female dogs as they age. I'm still going to take her in and have her evaluated, but that's what I'm thinking (hoping) it is! As for IDK, she's just as wild as always, I don't think she's ever going to grow out of that puppy energy!!! She keeps us on our toes!

That's about all I got for us right now! I'll leave you with some recent pictures of the girls, cause I don't have any of us!!!
