Week 25 Survey!!!

Baby's now the size of an eggplant!!!

Head to heels, your baby now measures about 13 1/2 inches. His weight — a pound and a half, but he's beginning to exchange his long, lean look for some baby fat. As he does, his wrinkled skin will begin to smooth out and he'll start to look more and more like a newborn. He's also growing more hair — and if you could see it, you'd now be able to discern its color and texture.

4 Years!!!

Kolby and I had our 4 year anniversary this week!! My wonderful husband had a big suprise planned for me! I was instructed to get off work for Friday, dress up Thursday night, and pack an overnight bag! That's all I knew about our plans! Well, let me say that Kolby did such a great job, he really outdid himself!!! He had set us up with a room at the Gaylord Texan Resort in Grapevine, TX. It was amazing! Such a great trip, and I'm so glad that I got to share it with my husband!!♥♥♥♥♥♥

Kolby set us up with the Remember the Romance package
We got a bottle of sparkling cider (no champagne, lol)

Our complimentary cake balls, yummm!!

This is the only picture I got of the two of us together, lol!!!

We got a room with a balcony!
This is the view from our room, overlooking the main atrium

Week 24 Survey!!!

Baby's now the size of a papaya!!!

Your baby's growing steadily, having gained about 4 ounces since last week. That puts him at just over a pound. Since he's almost a foot long, he cuts a pretty lean figure at this point, but his body is filling out proportionally and he'll soon start to plump up. His brain is also growing quickly now, and his taste buds are continuing to develop. His lungs are developing "branches" of the respiratory "tree" as well as cells that produce surfactant, a substance that will help his air sacs inflate once he hits the outside world. His skin is still thin and translucent, but that will start to change soon.

Weight Gain? NO comment....LOL!! Didn't weigh this week...

Maternity clothes? Pretty much all I wear, except for my workout shorts and T-shirts

Stretch marks? I'm pretty sure I've spotted some on my hiney...but the stomach is still all clear...I'm okay with that though, since I generally don't run around with my hiney hanging out for the world to see!

Sleep? Getting used to being up all throughout the night, thank goodness I'm designed to function on very little sleep!

Best moment this week? Going to the specialist and getting to see our little man again! He's getting so big!!

Movement? Kicking up a storm in there! His prime time is after his Daddy leaves for work at 4AM! He must miss him, and he pitches a fit in there!

Belly Button: In or Out? Almost totally flat!

Food cravings? Loving food!!! I just have to eat smaller meals now! I get full faster and I'm just hungry 24/7. I keep a box of cereal by the bed for my midnight (and 4AM) snack.

Gender? After our 3rd check, I'm still going with a manly man!

Labor signs? Nope, we've been all good! I love that I haven't had to write anything here yet!

What I miss? Not being so dang tired when I have a kinda long day...

What I'm looking forward to? Moving into the 3rd trimester!

Our Handsome Man!

Yesterday we had another appointment with the MFM Specialist (High-risk Dr.). We got to have another look at our little man as well! We always love that! And Kolby was off work, so he was able to come, YAY!! Beau has gotten so big in the last month, he looked so different! The Dr. estimated that he weighs about 1lb 6 oz! That's double his weight from the last appointment so he is growing, growing!!! With all of his measurements, he was measuring 24 weeks 0 days, and I am really only 23 weeks 2 days by count, so he measured 5 days ahead (bigger) of where we thought he is. This all shows an estimated due date of Dec 7. So I'm hoping that's a good sign since he's supposed to be born early anyways! Overall we got another great report!!!

Here is our little man's profile with his hand and foot in his face!

Busy, Busy Bumblebees!

Talk about being productive! We got so much done this weekend! We are very proud of ourselves and the things we got accomplished! Plus, add on top of it that we were able to spend the whole weekend together, and do nothing but hang out and do things that we wanted to do. We had no obligations, and Kolby wasn't on call! Woohoo!!! So great!

We got up bright and early Saturday morning and went to register at Babies 'R' Us in Fort Worth. It wasn't nearly as nerve racking as I thought it was going to be, and I think we got the majority of the stuff added to our list. We still have Target to go register at and I think we are going to get that one taken care of this week!

After BRU, we went over to the mall, since we were right there! I haven't been to the mall since I don't know when...it's been forever!!! We had so much fun strolling the mall and we got some of the cutest baby stuff! Pretty much all of it was on sale, YAY!!! I love sales! Anyways, we were pretty exhausted and both of our feet hurt so bad by the time we headed home.

We came home and rested for a bit, then got back to work! We had some ideas as to what decor we wanted in the baby's nursery, so we got to work on those! As we were painting the boards we were working with, Kolby spotted a sofa sale going on at Rooms To Go. We've been looking for a new couch for a while now, just browsing since we were in no hurry. Well Kolby spotted the perfect couch for what price range we were looking for!!!

Here is the newest addition to our household!
We can't wait until it is delivered!

We also went to Hobby Lobby and picked up some more goodies to be all crafty with for the nursery! We had so much fun putting our ideas together and watching them turn out the way that we wanted!

Sunday we made a good old grocery shopping trip to Walmart and picked up lunch at Sonic on our way home. We spent Sunday afternoon putting up all the clothes and decorations that we had gotten/made the day before! So needless to say we were further worn out, but so glad that we got everything accomplished!!!

Here is Beau's name board that we made, hanging over his crib! Here's a close up view! I just love it!

We got these display ledges at Hobby Lobby, I think they go so well with our furniture!
Some of our wall decor
Now for the new clothes!!! Most of these his Daddy picked out!
We found some jeans for sale, so we got them in every size!
The newborn ones are sooo small, just adorable!
These are all picked out by Kolby, if you can't read them, you'll have to ask him what they say...
Got most of his sports covered! Rangers, Cowboys, and Texas Longhorns! Now all we need is a Mavericks/Spurs outfit and one for the Dallas Stars and we are good to go!
Little Pants, Rock 'n Roll PJs, a palm tree onsie, and a peace onsie
All of the accessories that we got!
Sock shoes, a pacifier with Bubba Teeth (that Kolby just had to have!) adorable shoes, Texas longhorn beanie, and skull cap beanies
Our new clothes hamper for the nursery!
Our beautiful bassinet that our friends were gracious enough to give to us! Thanks Kyle and Angelica!

Week 23 Survey!!!

Baby's now the size of a papaya!!!

Turn on the radio and sway to the music. With his sense of movement well developed by now, your baby can feel you dance. And now that he's more than 11 inches long and weighs just over a pound, you may be able to see him squirm underneath your clothes. Blood vessels in his lungs are developing to prepare for breathing, and the sounds that your baby's increasingly keen ears pick up are preparing him for entry into the outside world. Loud noises that become familiar now — such as your dog barking or the roar of the vacuum cleaner — probably won't faze him when he hears them outside the womb.

How far along? 23 weeks

Weight Gain? Stayed off the scale this week, I think I just don't want to know anymore, lol!
Out of the 18+lbs I've gained Beau should count for a little over 1 of those!

Maternity clothes? Loving my new dresses, already not loving my small (in quantity/options) wardrobe

Stretch marks? Haven't seen any.....yet...Got me some new cocoa butter that smells so much better, I can actually stand to put it on!

Sleep? It's been much better this week, I hope that it continues!

Best moment this week? Getting so much accomplished on Beau's room, that will be apost all it's own!

Movement? Still rocking and rolling in there!! Kolby has seen him moving through my belly, but I'm not sure if we've caught him time for Kolby to feel him moving. We sat on the couch this afternoon and watched my belly dance a little bit, still so much fun!

Belly Button: In or Out? It's almost totally flatten out now, but when I lay on my back, it goes back in, it's funny!

Food cravings? Loving pretty much all food!!! I've been wanting broccoli and cheese soup alot!
Gender? Little Beau is going to be a sharp dressed man, especially after our shopping this weekend!

Labor signs? Nope, we've been all good! I love that I haven't had to write anything here yet!

What I miss? Not sweating...period. Before pregnancy, I was definitely not a sweater, but now I do, and it's just YUCK!!!

What I'm looking forward to? Our ultrasound appointment with the specialist on Tuesday!

Weekly Wisdom: Be prepared, be ready early, you never know what might happen...bedrest, early labor, too tired to move, lol, you never know! Do things while you are feeling good!

Milestones: 1 week to the 24 week viability point! And only 15 weeks to delivery week...Yikes!!!

Take me out to the Ballgame!!!

About a week ago, Kolby and I were finally able to make it to a Ranger's Game. We had a great time, but it did get a little uncomfortable for me to sit in that hard seat for that long. Overall, we had a great time! Here are the pics!
