So close now!!!!

OH MY GOODNESS!!!!

Just two more full days before we go into the hospital to meet this little boy! It all still seems so surreal! We had a great Thanksgiving and that is all that was on the topic of conversation for most of the times, was us having this baby! Kolby and I have been getting all the last minute things crossed off of our list, and I think we are just about done! We got our bag packed and Beau's bag packed. We've got his carseat laid out and ready to go! His bassinet is ready for him to sleep in and everything! We even got the Christmas decorations started! Hopefully they will be finished tomorrow! All we've got to do now is get us all delivered here safely!

Fun with the Fam!!!

We had such a good Thanksgiving with Kolby's family! We love getting to see everyone and getting to spend time with them! We really only get to see them once a year at Thanksgiving, so we are sure to make the most of it! We mostly did lots of visiting, playing with the kiddos, eating way too much, and of course shopping and lots of football!

Kolby's family threw us a little family shower since none of his Dad's side of the family was able to make it to any of the other showers! We are just so blessed! Here we are opening our gifts.
I hope everyone had a blessed and safe holiday! I know we did! T-minus 3 days and counting down to the arrival of our little man!!!!!

Our little man cave!!!

This week, we (mostly me, though Daddy did help when asked, lol) have been working like mad to get all of the to-do's marked off of our list before this little boy shows up! I've been cleaning, cleaning, cleaning! I even washed out curtains...yeah, that sure hasn't been done since we moved in almost 2 years ago! And I must say that I have most of my stuff marked off my list! It is such a good feeling to cross things off and have the satisfaction that they are done!

Well, yesterday I got to cross a big one off my list! I officially finished Beau's nursery!!!! And I must say that we are so happy with the finished product! We just love it! I will say that his room looks really full, and IT IS!! We don't have the biggest additional rooms in this house, and this little boy has lots of stuff. So, needless to say, storage was quite fun to try to figure out, and get everything organized. But I think we have found a home for everything! It's just really full!

Wall #1 - Dresser
His super full closet! There are lots more clothes on the left side of the closet that you can't see hanging up! Kolby said that I'm never allowed to buy this little boy clothes ever again!! Haha, he's so funny!
Wall #2 - Dresser/Changing table
View from the door walking in
Wall #3 - Crib
Mr. Beau's crib
All we need is him to get here now!
His name board over his crib with all the animal friends!
His bedding all washed and ready to go
Wall decor
My Dad made this rocking chair by hand from scratch just to go in Beau's room! He worked so hard on it and I just love it to peices! It's a one and only of it's kind!

Dr. appt's this week

This week my appointments were back to back on Tuesday and Wednesday due to Thanksgiving. Since they fell this way, I only had an ultrasound at my specialist appointment, since it didn't make sense to have one the day after I already had one...so I went without on my OB visit today. This was officially my last appointment with the specialist, and I must say that it really was bitter sweet. I'm so glad to be nearing the finish line and meeting our little man, but at the same time, I've spent alot of time in that office and relied on his words for a lot of reassurance that everything is going good with Mr. Beau. He said that Beau still looked like a beautiful baby and he was just perfect! Beau estimated to weigh in at 7lb 15oz! Still our big boy! And he has one more week to bake!

The most beautiful face in the world!
Little profile with his arm up to his face!

Today was my appointment at my regular OB's office. Of course my OB is out this week on vacation for Thanksgiving, so this week I saw one of the other OB's in the practice. She was very personable and asked me lots of questions about how my pregnancy has gone thus far. Also, if anything happens this weekend, she is going to be the Dr. on call, so I'm glad that I got to meet her today...(just in case)! She did do a cervical check and we have change! She said that I am 1-2cm dialated and 50% effaced!!! Woohoo! She said that for this to be my first pregnancy and to only be at 37 weeks that is just fabulous! Hopefully, in the next week things will keep moving forward, and this should make the induction faster and easier! Two words that we definietly want to hear!

So I will go back in on Monday afternoon for an appointment with Dr. K, and she will decide if I need to go into the hospital on Monday night to start the induction process, or if I go in bright and early Tuesday morning. We will be playing it by ear! I'm still waiting for this all to become real!! It's all so surreal!

Week 37 Survey!!!

Baby's now the size of a watermelon!!!

Your baby is now considered "full term," even though your due date is three weeks away. If you go into labor now, his lungs will likely be mature enough to fully adjust to life outside the womb. (Some babies need a bit more time, though. So if you're planning to have a repeat c-section, for example, your practitioner will schedule it for no earlier than 39 weeks unless there's a medical reason to intervene earlier.)

Your baby weighs 6 1/3 pounds and measures a bit over 19 inches, head to heel (like a stalk of Swiss chard). Many babies have a full head of hair at birth, with locks from 1/2 inch to 1 1/2 inches long. But don't be surprised if your baby's hair isn't the same color as yours. Dark-haired couples are sometimes thrown for a loop when their children come out as blonds or redheads, and fair-haired couples have been surprised by Elvis look-alikes. And then, of course, some babies sport only peach fuzz.

Survey

How far along? 37 weeks

Weight Gain? Still haven't broken the 150 lb mark, as of my OB appointment this week I weighed in at 149 lbs! That's up a total of 36 lbs.

Maternity clothes? Now that I will be at home, we are mostly looking at gym clothes, shorts and a T-shirt!

Stretch marks? I think I've got some now...but I can't really tell because they are only on the underside of my belly and I can't really see them to tell if they are or not!!

Sleep? Half and half, some nights are good, and some I am awake literally every two hours. getting my body ready for when Mr. Beau is waking me up I guess!

Best moment this week? Finishing up and having my last day at work!

Movement? I think he's really running out of room as he usually is pushing all over the place as if in an effort to push the walls out!!

Belly Button: In or Out? Completely flat now, the top part is poking out too!

Food cravings? More fried pickles this week, they give me heart burn, but they are soooo worth it!!

Gender? Our little dude!

Labor signs? Nope, just the fake contractions, I think we are really going to have to make him come out!

What I miss? Sleeping comfortably, my belly is starting to get too heavy to lay on my side, it feels like it drags down!

What I'm looking forward to? Finishing up Beau's room and meeting him in a little over a week!!!!

Weekly Wisdom: Just because you have an induction date scheduled doesn't mean that's when he will arrive...I don't know how many people I've had tell me this...and while I am aware that that is always possible, I really try not to worry about it, since I am really freaked out about going into labor on my own while I am still on the blood thinner!

Here is a bonus picture...I thought that it really showed how low I am carrying him! (Please disregard my dirty mirror, it's on my list of cleaning for this week!!!)

~Christmas Cards~

I've always loved giving and receiving Christmas cards every year! This year is going to be even more special as we will have a new member of our family that we want to show off to everyone! Our little man will be here just in time to celebrate his first Christmas, and what better way to get his handsome face out for all the relatives to see than on a fun Christmas card. Since our family is spread all over the state, I love sending Christmas cards to let everyone know the update in our life and this year we will have lots to update about!

This year Shutterfly is offering bloggers 50 free holiday cards. Click here for details! Below are a few of my favorite designs from the Shutterfly Holiday cards! I love cards that have multiple pictures on them because I always have such a hard time narrowing it down to the ONE right picture! This year, I would love to do a family picture of the 3 of us with the girls, a single picutre of Kolby and me, a single picutre of Beau, and a single picture of the girls! I think all of the cards below would be perfect for that!

Along with Christmas cards, Shutterfly also has other products! They have birthday cards, invitations, and many cards and stationary for any occasion. All of which are customizable to your special day or event!

You can check them out here:

~OB appt~

Well I'm almost done with these appointments! I just can't believe that!!! It's just nuts! My OB appointment today went good. I still haven't broken the 150 lb mark, woohoo!!! But almost there! I had my ultrasound, but didn't get the best of pictures. He was very cooperative and let the tech look at everything she needed to see, but she just didn't pick the greatest poses to print out...I don't know why?! He was moving all around for the ultrasound, which again is good since we are doing these mainly to check movement and make sure he is healthy/energetic! My BP was good, and Beau'sheartbeat was measuring in at 134! All looks good!
This first picture is kinda funky looking, it makes his head look funny...
Here's our cute little boy!

We are scheduled to go to the specialist next Tuesday for what could be our last look at Mr. Beau in the womb, though I'm hoping it won't be!!! Then next Wednesday I will have another OB appointment, but Dr. K will be out all Thanksgiving week for vacation time, so I will be seeing one of the other OB's in the practice rather than seeing a Nurse Practioner. I'm not too worried about it, it should just be a routine appointment hopefully! I also made an appointment for Monday, Nov. 29, the day before induction to come in and get checked out and make sure that everything is still a go for the 30th! Dr. K will decide at that appointment if I will be going to the hospital the night before or coming in the morning of the 30th. We shall see!!! Everything is going to be played by ear, which I am not a fan of, I want a for sure plan, but I'm trying to take it all in stride!!! Less than two weeks to go!!!

Oh and scary thing happened today at my OB appointment...As I was checking out at the front desk, a lady standing next to me passed out and fell on the floor! Apparently she had just given blood and her blood pressure dropped I'm guessing and down she went! Plenty scary! I felt bad for her when she came to, and was asking "how did I end up on the floor?!" Been there, done that! It's never fun!

He's definitely special!!!

We had our now weekly visit with the specialist today, and our little man is definitely just that...special! Our littleman just had another BPP this week at the specialist, no measurements this week. He got buzzed with the little buzzer a couple of times, to get him to move around so that the Dr. could get a better view of him. Otherwise he passed with flying colors and he looked just perfect! We got the cutest picture of his little face! Here he is!!!

Can you believe those chubby cheeks?!?! I just love them! I can't wait to kiss all over them!!!

Week 36 Survey!!!

Baby's now the size of a melon!!!

Your baby is still packing on the pounds — at the rate of about an ounce a day. He now weighs almost 6 pounds and is more than 18 1/2 inches long. He's shedding most of the downy covering of hair that covered his body as well as the vernix caseosa, the waxy substance that covered and protected his skin during his nine-month amniotic bath. Your baby swallows both of these substances, along with other secretions, resulting in a blackish mixture, called meconium, will form the contents of his first bowel movement.

At the end of this week, your baby will be considered full-term. (Full-term is 37 to 42 weeks; babies born before 37 weeks are pre-term and those born after 42 are post-term.) Most likely he's in a head-down position. But if he isn't, your practitioner may suggest scheduling an "external cephalic version," which is a fancy way of saying he'll try to coax your baby into a head-down position by manipulating his from the outside of your belly.

How far along? 36 weeks

Weight Gain? At my OB appointment this week I weighed in at a whopping 144lbs! That's up a total of 31 lbs, so that's 1 lb in the past week that I've gained.

Maternity clothes? My belly hangs out most of the time because my shirts all ride up and my pants slide down, leaving the middle out in the wind!

Stretch marks? Nope!!! No new ones, and the belly is still looking good!

Sleep? still not too bad...I'm probably going to jinx myself now!

Best moment this week? Getting more work done on Beau's room!

Movement? Still a crazy man!

Belly Button: In or Out? It is almost completely flat now!

Food cravings? I had me some fried pickles this week, and they were oh, so good!!

Gender? Still a little prince!

Labor signs? Still having the Braxton Hicks contractions, but that is all! Only two more weeks until the real labor begins! Hard to believe!

What I miss? Nothin much this week!

What I'm looking forward to? Thanksgiving and finishing work this Friday!!!!

Weekly Wisdom: Even if you write things down on your calendar, you can still forget them. I had birthing class written on every calendar I have for this Sunday, and I still forgot to go! I was so mad at myself!

~Visit to Dr.K~

Yesterday, I had my weekly appointment with my OB. We got another good report and Mr. Beau passed his BPP with flying colors yet again! He was moving all around the entire time she was trying to get a look at him! We were even able to see his eye moving and we could tell that he was looking all around! It was just amazing!!! Those ultrasounds are just so detailed!

My weight was up yet again, I'm now up another 2lbs in one week! Yikes, I'm just going to blame it on Beau and say that he is gaining all that weight! haha! My blood pressure was still good and Beau's heartbeat measured in at 132 bmp. She said that he looked just perfect! That's what we like to hear!!!
Here is a picture of his adorable little face! He still has those chubby cheeks!
