Better late than never...

It totally slipped my mind that I had never done a post about our appointment with the Maternal Fetal Specialist last week. I was to busy last week and then when I sat down and did my other posts, I just skipped right over it! Silly me!

So Tuesday, July 20 I had my second appointment with the Specialist, and this time I got to meet the other Dr., Dr. Payne. He was super personable and spent the majority of his time cracking jokes and talking to us while he did the ultrasound. Kolby wasn't able to come to this appointment :-( , but his Mom and cousin, Jenna, were in town so they were able to join me to see our little man!

He did a full scan again, and again, I brought the wrong kind of disk, so we weren't able to record it on DVD, but Jenna recorded it on her iPhone, and so we were able to record it and put it on the computer and burn our own DVD, so YAY for technology!!! He said that the little man was looking great, he was moving all around in there! The Dr. even said that he had a cute little booty, hahaha!! I said he gets that from his momma, cause his daddy has no booty! We got some really cute pics of his little profile and a perfect picture of his feet!
He was estimated to weigh about 11 oz. (Side note: we were looking it up on Google, and the smallest baby to ever survive birth was born at 8.6 oz, so we've already passed that! Whew!!! Really you should look it up, that little baby is amazing!)

The Dr. looked again for any signs of a diaphragmatic hernia and he said that there appears to be no signs of one! It was nice to get good news from a second opinion! He looked at the umbilical cord and the blood flow from me to him and it all looks good. Oh, and apparently our little boy has no modesty because he was showing his goodies (business, as I like to call it, haha) off for the world to see. So we were all in agreement that he is for sure a little man! So I will be seen again in 4 weeks, which is mid-August! I love that I am getting to continue with these monthly ultrasounds, I just love seeing him! It is an amazing feeling every time! Here's to contiuing on with this uneventful (well, medically, at least) pregnancy, I'm so relieved that things are going as great as they have so far and I am not having to constantly worry myself sick! I hope it sticks around!

Our Weekend at the Lake!!!

We spent this past weekend at the Kolby's family's lake house on Lake Corpus Christi. We had such a fun time and we were sad that is was such a short trip!

Poor IDK had to go to Nana's house, cause the lake doesn't have a fenced yard, and she would have been running all over the neighborhoor!

First thing when we got there, Kolby and his mom got out the saning net to try to catch some minnows for some bait Moe Moe getting in the boat slip My fat belly and my little feet! haha Grandma's dog Sarah, she's the sweetest dog! Saturday morning Kolby got up super early to get some fishing in. I joined him at about 7am because I was too lazy to wake up that early on my "vacation". The lake looked so pretty and peaceful that early in the morning! Moe Moe out on the pier enjoying the fishing too! Me and my little baby catfish, you can see Moe's nose at the bottom of the picture, she was really interested in my fishy! Kolby and his fabulous catch! Saturday afternoon, I had Kolby's cousin, Jenna's, baby shower to attend. While I went to that, Kolby met up with his cousin at the Waterstreet Oyster Bar in downtown Corpus.

Her pretty cake! The bugs were so cute! Jenna @ 33 weeks and Me @ 20 weeks Jenna @ 33 weeks, Me @ 20 weeks, and Heather (Jenna's cousin) @ 14 weeks Kolby and (one of) his baby girls chilling on the porch of the lakehouse I love this picture, I think it really shows the relationship these two share! She loves her Daddy! She can't get close enough to him! This picture cracks me up! Moe Moe takes after her Momma and she doesn't like beer AT ALL!! IDK is a different story...she takes after her Daddy. haha. Kolby was being a bad Dad and offering Moe some beer, and she wasn't having any part of it!

Then they were pretending like they were mad at each other, like that would ever happen. HAHA
Sunday morning we got up to do some more fishing before church. Here I am with the biggest catch that was made, isn't she a beaut?!?!
Moe Moe enjoying her vacation!
After church, they got out the jetskis. I wasn't able to go out on them, but Kolby had a blast!
Here is Kolby and Aunt Billie on the jetski
Moe and Jake playing in the boat slip
Kolby showing off his skills on the jetski!

After: This is with the baby furniture already put together and in position!

This picture shows the real paint color, the others are messed up because of my flash.

Our beautiful crib! I'm so happy with our choice of furniture! I just love it!!! We got the crib, a short dresser, and a tall dresser. We will be using the short dresser as a changing table as well, to save space. The crib is fully convertible from a toddler bed to a day bed all the way to the full size bed. So it can grow with him!

Week 20 Survey!!!

Baby's the size of a cantalope!!!

Your baby weighs about 10 1/2 ounces now. He's also around 6 1/2 inches long from head to bottom and about 10 inches from head to heel — the length of a banana. (For the first 20 weeks, when a baby's legs are curled up against his torso and hard to measure, measurements are taken from the top of his head to his bottom — the "crown to rump" measurement. After 20 weeks, he's measured from head to toe.)

He's swallowing more these days, which is good practice for his digestive system. He's also producing meconium, a black, sticky by-product of digestion. This gooey substance will accumulate in his bowels, and you'll see it in his first soiled diaper (some babies pass meconium in the womb or during delivery).

Survey

How far along? 20 weeks

Weight Gain? Still haven't weighed yet...cause I really just don't want to know!

Maternity clothes? Pretty much all I can wear these days, I have a few regular shirts I can still wear, but they are quickly dwindling!

Stretch marks? Haven't seen any.....yet...

Sleep? So-so...enough to get me through my days!

Best moment this week? Getting the call that our furniture came in off backorder earlier than expected, my MIL getting the baby's room painted so we can start doing some work in there

Movement? Feeling him here and there, I learned that I think I have an anterior placenta which is where the placenta is located up front between my belly and the baby, which makes it harder for me to feel kicking...bummer!

Belly Button: In or Out? Not out yet! But I can see the bottom!

Food cravings? Still eating my sour/salty stuff. Lovin' me my pickles!

Gender? All boy, we checked again!

Labor signs? Nope, we've been all good! I hope to not write anything else here for a long time!

What I miss? Being able to do water sports aka ride the jetski's! But oh well, so starts the sacrificial life of being a mommy! haha

What I'm looking forward to? Getting the furniture in and set up in the nursery now that it's all painted!

Weekly Wisdom: Can't think of any to share or any that I've been given this week!

Milestones: Half way baked!!!! YAY!!! This is really hard to believe!!!!
