Week 34 Survey!!!

Baby's now the size of a melon!!!

Your baby now weighs about 4 3/4 pounds (like your average cantaloupe) and is almost 18 inches long. His fat layers — which will help regulate his body temperature once he's born — are filling him out, making him rounder. His skin is also smoother than ever. His central nervous system is maturing and his lungs are continuing to mature as well. If you've been nervous about preterm labor, you'll be happy to know that babies born between 34 and 37 weeks who have no other health problems generally do fine. They may need a short stay in the neonatal nursery and may have a few short-term health issues, but in the long run, they usually do as well as full-term babies.

Survey

How far along? 34 weeks

Weight Gain? I haven't weighed myself this week, I will know an official weight at my OB appt this Thursday!
Maternity clothes? Some of my shirts are getting too short...what is that supposed to do for my self esteem?!?!
Stretch marks? Nope!!! No new ones, and the belly is still looking good!

Sleep? I have actually gotten a little, but I still wake up alot during the night, and lately I've been having bouts of insomnia at about 5AM-6AM...getting me ready for those middle of the night wake up calls, I guess!

Best moment this week? Non-pregnancy related, it would have to be Halloween with the family...pregnancy related, getting to see my man at our appt with the Specialist, he's getting so big!!!
Movement? He does alot of pushing and prodding on my right side, I think his legs are starting to run out of room in there!

Belly Button: In or Out? Still flat and kinda poking out on the top part of it.

Food cravings? Trying to eat earlier in the evenings, and trying to eat bland food to avoid the heartburn. Loving anything with chicken and rice though!

Gender? Still a manly man!

Labor signs? Not really, but I think I'm really starting to notice that I'm having quite a few more Braxton Hicks contractions now!

What I miss? Sleeping comfortably, and not having to toss and turn from side to side all night!

What I'm looking forward to? Getting good news at the specialist this next Monday, I will have a whole other post about all that once we see the Specialist on Monday!

Weekly Wisdom: I'm pretty much out of wisdom these days, I think I may just remove this one! I just can't believe that we only have 4 MORE WEEKS!!!! That's just absolutely crazy!!!!
