Week 24 Survey!!!

Baby's now the size of a papaya!!!

Your baby's growing steadily, having gained about 4 ounces since last week. That puts him at just over a pound. Since he's almost a foot long, he cuts a pretty lean figure at this point, but his body is filling out proportionally and he'll soon start to plump up. His brain is also growing quickly now, and his taste buds are continuing to develop. His lungs are developing "branches" of the respiratory "tree" as well as cells that produce surfactant, a substance that will help his air sacs inflate once he hits the outside world. His skin is still thin and translucent, but that will start to change soon.

Survey

How far along? 24 weeks

Weight Gain? NO comment....LOL!! Didn't weigh this week...

Maternity clothes? Pretty much all I wear, except for my workout shorts and T-shirts

Stretch marks? I'm pretty sure I've spotted some on my hiney...but the stomach is still all clear...I'm okay with that though, since I generally don't run around with my hiney hanging out for the world to see!

Sleep? Getting used to being up all throughout the night, thank goodness I'm designed to function on very little sleep!

Best moment this week? Going to the specialist and getting to see our little man again! He's getting so big!!

Movement? Kicking up a storm in there! His prime time is after his Daddy leaves for work at 4AM! He must miss him, and he pitches a fit in there!

Belly Button: In or Out? Almost totally flat!

Food cravings? Loving food!!! I just have to eat smaller meals now! I get full faster and I'm just hungry 24/7. I keep a box of cereal by the bed for my midnight (and 4AM) snack.

Gender? After our 3rd check, I'm still going with a manly man!

Labor signs? Nope, we've been all good! I love that I haven't had to write anything here yet!

What I miss? Not being so dang tired when I have a kinda long day...

What I'm looking forward to? Moving into the 3rd trimester!

Weekly Wisdom: None this week...

Milestones: 24 week viability point!
