Week 30 Survey!!!

Baby's now the size of an butternut squash!!!

Your baby's about 15.7 inches long now, and he weighs almost 3 pounds. A pint and a half of amniotic fluid surrounds him, but that volume will decrease as he gets bigger and takes up more room in your uterus. His eyesight continues to develop, though it's not very keen; even after he's born, he'll keep his eyes closed for a good part of the day. When he does open them, he'll respond to changes in light but will have 20/400 vision — which means he can only make out objects a few inches from his face. (Normal adult vision is 20/20.)

Survey

How far along? 30 weeks

Weight Gain? Didn't hop on the scale thisweek, I will find out this next Tuesday at my OB appt.

Maternity clothes? Looking for some more cold weather options!

Stretch marks? One more week down, and the belly is still clear!

Sleep? I'm back to no sleep...I don't know why, but it sure is frustrating. I guess I'm getting ready for my nights of no sleep once he gets here!

Best moment this week? Getting another good report at the specialist, and getting reassurance that everything is still going great! And I started washing all my little man's clothes and getting things put away this week!

Movement? This week he is still doing lots of kicking and jabbing, but now he is starting to push outward on my belly, I guess he's stretching in there! I still love to feel him moving around though, it never gets old!

Belly Button: In or Out? Still holding strong on being in...maybe it won't turn...I don't know!

Food cravings? Nothing really new this week I guess...just still eating everything in sight in general!! This boy is already an eating machine!!

Gender? One big, big, little boy!

Labor signs? No labor signs this week, but we will check my cervix again this week, and have another fetal fibronectin test.

What I miss? Sleeping!

What I'm looking forward to? My Corpus Christi shower this next weekend!

Weekly Wisdom: Not to knowledgeable this week, I think my brain is continuing to deteriorate...as I typed this sentence, I had to stop and think fir about 5 min to think of the right word for deteriorate...LOL

Milestones: I can't believe that we are already at 30 weeks!! This is all going too fast! He will be here in less than two months!!! Yikes!!
